I've been looking for answers to these three questions: Who am I? Where am I going? What do I need to do to get there?

Dean Geyer-《If you don't mean it》

Lyric:

I don't know
How to feel
let the words
Come easily to me
You seem lost
In your thoughts
I find it hard to breathe
Why won't you tell me what it is?
It's driving me crazy trying to second guess you

Don't say you love me,
I don't believe it!
Don't say the words,
If you don't mean it.
Don't want to hear it
out in the open
Keep it inside
If you don't mean it

Don't even want to talk about it
I know that I can live without it

If its right
If its wrong
Would someone let me know?
It's the game
I can't play
Do I just let you go?
Maybe it's just the way it is
coz I get the feeling that you know it's over

Don't say you love me,
I don't believe it!
Don't say the words,
If you don't mean it.
Don't want to hear it
Out in the open
Keep it inside
If you don't mean it

Don't even want to talk about it
I know that I could live without it
I just don't want to talk about it
God knows I could live without it
(Yeah,Yeah 4x)

Don't say you love me,
I don't believe it!
Don't say the words,
If you don't mean it.
Don't want to hear it
Out in the open
Keep it inside
If you don't mean it.

A Biography from Dean Geyer's Official Site

"Rush is the perfect title for my album - it sums up everything that I've felt in the past year," says Dean Geyer about his debut album Rush. "The whole process of creating, writing, recording and promoting has been a rush. I don't mean moving quickly, although that's certainly an aspect of my life these days! But it's been such a joyous ride for me. Just a year ago, this was just a dream. Now I'm living it! Australian Idol gave me the lucky break, and I intend to work very hard to keep up the momentum."

Dean Geyer grew up listening to the radio. Those who most shaped his music included Jon Bon Jovi ("so successful and so diverse"), the Goo Goo Dolls ("I love their acoustic sounds"), Matchbox 20 ("love Rob Thomas' voice") and John Mayer ("his words are so descriptive").

Dean's appearances on national television through Idol in 2006, captivated fans with his honest passionate performance delivery, model good looks and a warm confident personality.

He was born in Johannesburg, South Africa, the eldest of three children. His parents Debbie and Keith moved their family to Melbourne, Australia, when he was 15 years old. Around this time he learned to play guitar and wrote his first song "Change" about coming to Australia.

Dean has a focus and self confidence which comes from his close ties to his family. His sense of discipline and healthy attitude are the result of his interest in karate, which he has a black belt in.

Prior to entering Idol, Dean performed for two years with a covers band, also performing some of Dean's original songs, in and around Melbourne at pubs and universities as well as corporate gigs and events.

When the young 21 year old started work on his first album, he knew it would be guitar driven, diverse and delivered with honesty. Above all, it would have a strong commercial sound. So Dean started writing with writers well known for their pop sensibilities - Phil Buckle of Southern Sons, Paul Wiltshire, Adrian & Barb Hannan, Richie Vez who plays bass with Diesel, Adam Reilly, Michael Stangel, Tom Nicholls and Sydney's DNA Boys. Four of the tracks are songs that were sent to him, which he says "I identify so strongly with it's almost like I wrote them too."

Dean is currently putting together a touring band. The live shows, he says, will be "loud, with lots of guitar solos and backflips. I like my shows to be interactive, so I'll be chatting a lot to the audience, explaining what the songs are about and maybe getting them up on stage to have a dance. I want to make it fun for both of us."
